Fans of hiking can indulge themselves on Terschelling! The central location of Résidence Terschelling in Midsland offers you many opportunities to discover the area on foot. Within fifteen minutes, you can reach the Koreabos, where you can take a beautiful walk in peace. Or walk via the dunes towards the nearest beach of Midsland aan Zee, where you can also enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry or a tasty meal at Strandpaviljoen De Branding. If you are a real hiker, we recommend a mudflat walk. This is a unique way to discover the mudflats, while enjoying a wide view of the sea and land!

More than 200 kilometers of hiking trails
Terschelling has more than 200 kilometres of hiking trails, unpaved roads and beaches, so there is always a beautiful walking route in the area! Hiking path nodes can be found all over the island, and these will show you the way during your walk. Routes range from 4 to 15 kilometres and lead you through the dunes, the woods and over the white beach of Terschelling. Hiking is therefore an excellent activity for the whole family. The island also offers you the option of Nordic walking with a special route of over eleven kilometres.

Expedition Noordkaap: combine cycling with hiking
Are you looking for a unique and active way to spend your day, and do you love to combine cycling with hiking? Then the Expedition Noordkaap route is for you! An intense day where you will discover special places on the island. The route starts by bike; when the cycle paths turn into dune paths, you will have to continue the route on foot, to eventually reach the Noordkaap. Description of the route and the accompanying route map for this special expedition are available from the reception.
